Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; Times New Roman, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Author Guidelines

The  Editorial Board of Esculapio  journal of Services Institute of Medical Sciences follow the Uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journals as approved by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) guidelines. A brief account of minimum requirements is given below for assisting the authors, reviewers and editors, the full text can be read at, (www.icmje.org). Moreover plagiarism policy of ICMJE, Higher Education Commission and PMDC will be observed.

WHO CAN BE AUTHOR?

Credit for authorship requires substantial contributions to (a) the conception and design or analysis and interpretation of the data, (b) the drafting of the article or critical revision for important intellectual content, critical appraisal of findings with literature search and actual write up of manuscript, (c) final approval of the version to be published.

Each author must sign a statement attesting that he or she fulfills the authorship criteria of the Uniform Requirements. For further details follow the guidelines provided in link below according to ICMJE

PLAGIARISM POLICY

Esculapio follows a strict policy regarding research misconduct which  includes data falsification, fabrication and plagiarism. Plagiarism refers to intentional copying of others work without proper attribution or reference and includes  self-plagiarism which  refers to reuse of one’s own copyrighted material without proper attribution to the original source, mosaic plagiarism of mix and match of yours and others work, and salami slicing.All authors are required to adhere to high principles of research conduct as per COPE and icmje guidelines

The purpose of Esculapio is to disseminate scientific research, so once the article is submitted the journal requires following rights from the author as a publishing agreement.The author transfers the copyright and publishing rights to Esculapio but retains his rights to share, disseminate and maximize the impact of their research without any restrictions. Material printed in Esculapio being the copyright of the Journal, may not be reproduced without the permission of the editors or publisher. Instructions to authors appear on the last page of each issue. Prospective authors should consult these before submitting their articles and other material for publication.
