Recommended Biosafety and Infection Control Practices in Autopsy Lab Keeping
in View Autopsy of Confirmed or Suspected COVID 19 Case

Biosafety is the most significant measure for medical & paramedical staff who are in contact with human remains with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, or other infectious diseases. Autopsy Precautions and ProceduresMedical & paramedical staff who have contact with human remains, including those performing autopsy and collecting or handling specimens, are at risk for exposure to infectious agents, such as SARS-CoV-2, that may be present in tissues, blood, and other bodily fluids of the deceased person. Additionally, personnel might be exposed to residual surface contamination.

Training and Delivery of Pediatric Surgical Services in Pakistan

Pakistan produces world class doctors despite limitation of resources and lack of a mature infrastructure in the super specialties. Pediatric surgery is amongst the rapidly growing specialties owing to the exponential increase in population. Training good quality pediatric surgeons in Pakistan is possible but delivering high quality service in this field requires a very mature infrastructure. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) is responsible for organizing and regulating the training in this specialty.
