Comparison of early re-resection versus standard surgical method for transurethral resection of urinary bladder tumor : A Randomized controlled trial

Abstract

Incidence of bladder carcinoma is growing all over the world. Transurethral resection of the bladder tumor (TURBT) is gold standard in the managemnet of non muscle invasive bladder cancer, followed by surveillance cystoscopy. But bladder cancer is notorious for recurrance and progression. but it is newly understood that re-resection within 2-6 weeks may be helpful in reducing recurrance and tumor proression.
